Is green energy really that good?

This is Chief Raoni. Why is he sad and filling his bottom lip with tears? The peoples of Great Bend of the Xingu river, including his Kayapo tribe, have just received their death sentence from the Brazilian President Dilma. The green light has been given to the construction of a controversial hydroelectric dam in the Amazon rainforest. To produce more clean and durable energy from water. Green energy. The kind of energy everyone is raving about. It all has to be green these days. Well just so you know the Amazon is green. But to make sure thousands of new people can build more houses, drive their dirty cars and dumping their shit, over 40.000 Indians have to move. You green freaks happy now? Where is the balance. Is this really the best solution. Isn’t it a better idea to have someone from the government move in with these people and see how they have survived for hundreds of years not getting sick from black smoke, vinegar rain and leaking nuclear plants. But it is one thing complaining about how they do things on the other side of the world. Lets start with ourselves and come up with greater energy efficient ways of going about our daily lives.
